Dr. Brian Slomovitz is  a specialist in robotic surgery, novel therapeutics for endometrial cancer and ovarian cancer early detection, Dr. Brian Slomovitz has been named Director of the Division of Gynecologic Oncology in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine. He has also been appointed Co-leader of the Gynecologic Cancers Site Disease Group at Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center and Fellowship Director for the Division. Dr. Slomovitz joined University of Miami from Atlantic Health System in Northern New Jersey where he was also an Associate Professor at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai of Medicine and Adjunct Associate Professor at MD Anderson Cancer Center.

Dr. Slomovitz has a keen interest in applying the principles learned from the lab to the clinical setting. He is the principal investigator on a number of Gynecologic Oncology Group (GOG) clinical trials, focusing on endometrial and vulvar cancer. He has authored or co-authored more than 60 peer-reviewed articles and has lectured extensively. In addition, Dr. Slomovitz has been recognized as a Top Doctor by Castle Connolly Medical Ltd., Inside New Jersey, and New Jersey Monthly.

Dr. Slomovitz graduated from medical school at the Rutgers University – New Jersey Medical School, and completed his residency at New York Presbyterian – Cornell Medical Center in 2002. At the University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center, he completed a fellowship in gynecologic oncology in 2006. He is board certified in both obstetrics and gynecology and gynecologic oncology.
